1. [UAE] Ruwais Ta’ziz Methanol Plant Project (FEED Awarded)

     UAE, 타지즈와 프로만의 루와이스 타지즈 메탄올 플랜트 프로젝트 (FEED수주)

■ Status:

  -Adnoc signed an agreement with Proman to build the UAE's first methanol plant on 3 Mar. 2022.

  -Switzerland's Proman is the world’s second largest methanol producer.

  -This will be the first pure gas-to-methanol production facility in the UAE

  -TA’ZIZ and Proman signed a shareholders’ agreement to develop the project on 19 Jan. 2023.

  -Technip Energies was awarded a FEED contract on 31 Jul. 2023.

  -The FEED work is expected to complete in Q3 2023.

  -The project is likely to be completed by 2027.

 

타지즈(Ta’ziz)와 스위스의 프로만(Proman)이 공동으로 발주하는 UAE 최초의 루와이스 메탄올 플랜트 프로젝트에 대한 FEED를 프랑스의 테크닙에너지스(Technip Energies)가 지난 7월 31일 수주했다. 이 프로젝트는 천연가스를 사용하여 연산 180만 톤의 메탄올 플랜트를 루와이스의 타지즈 화학 단지에 건설하는 15억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 기본설계(FEED)는 2023년 3분기에 완료될 예정이며, 2027년 말 완공을 목표로 하고 있다.

 

 

2. [UAE] Ruwais Refinery 3 Project (FEED Awarded)

  -It is also known as Ruwais Refinery Offgases (ROG) project

  -The project aims to recover hydrogen, ethane gas, C3, C4, and C5 from off-gases discharged by the refinery.

  -A JV of TR and NPCC was awarded a FEED contract on 2 Aug. 2023.

  -The scope includes a main fractionator, trim coolers, desalter trains, and crude pumps.

 

아드녹리파이닝(ADNOC Refining)이 발주하는 루와이스 정유공장 3 프로젝트의 FEED를 스페인 테크니카스 리유니다스(Tecnicas Reunidas)와 UAE NPCC의 컨소시엄이 지난 8월 2일 수주했다. 이 프로젝트는 루와이스 정유공장의 여러 유닛에서 발생되는 배출가스로부터 수소, 에탄, 프로판(C3), 펜탄플러스(C5+) 등을 회수하는 2억 달러 규모의 사업이다. FEED의 업무 범위에는 정제기, 냉각기, 탈염시설, 원유 펌프 등이 포함된다.

 

 

3. [UAE] Maximizing Ethane Recovery & Monetization Project (EPC Tender Closed)

     UAE, 아드녹가스의 에탄 회수 및 수익 극대화 프로젝트 (EPC입찰마감)

 

■ Project Name: Maximizing Ethane Recovery and Monetization (MERAM) Project

■ Owner: Adnoc Gas

■ Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE

■ Capacity: Maximization of Ethane Recovery

■ Amount: U$ 2,000 Mill.

■ FEED: Worley (2021) 

■ Status:

  -The project's goal is to recover ethane from residue gas from various existing ADNOC Gas Processing plants.

  -New centralized ethane recovery unit is to be built on the Habshan 5 site.

  -The project's total power demand is expected to be around 208MW.

  -Worley was awarded a FEED contract on 6 Oct. 2021.

  -The ITB was issued in Feb. 2023.

  -The project’s execution is a mixture between the FEED to EPC model and the conventional EPC model.

  -Technical bids were submitted on 17 Mar. 2023.

  -It is found out in Apr. 2023 that the estimated capital expenditure for the project is around $2B.

  -The commercial bids were submitted by Petrofac, Sinopec Engineering Inc. and TR/NPCC on 21 Jun. 2023.

  -The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

 

아드녹가스(Adnoc Gas)가 발주하는 에탄 회수 및 수익 극대화(MERAM) 프로젝트의 상업제안서 입찰이 지난 6월 21일에 마감되었으며, 페트로팩, 사이노펙엔지니어링, 테크니카스 리유니다스/NPCC 컨소시엄 등 3개 팀이 참여했다. 이 프로젝트는 아드녹 가스처리시설의 잔류가스에서 최대한의 에탄을 회수하는 새로운 중앙집중식 에탄 회수 장치를 합산 5 부지에 건설하는 20억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 2025년 완공을 목표로 하고 있으며, 호주의 월리(Worley)가 FEED를 맡고 있다.

■ History:

  -Chiyoda/CB&I/Saipem JV was awarded a FEED by defeating Bechtel and JGC/Fluor on 18 May 2015.

  -The consortium of Saipem, McDermott & Chiyoda was awarded an EPC contract on 5 Jun. 2019.

  -Saipem has won the biggest contract in its history after being awarded a $6B deal.

  -McDermott’s initial portion of the EPC contract award totals $2B.

  -Saipem & McDermott established an office in Milan to lead the EPC responsibilities.

  -McDermott will perform engineering from both London and Gurgaon of India.

  -Chiyoda will only provide advisory services for the consortium.

  -FID was reached on 20 Jun. 2019.

  -Total closed on its acquisition of Anadarko’s 26.5% operating interest on 30 Sep. 2019.

  -Daewoo E&C received the LOI for a construction subcontract ($455M) from Saipem on 23 Dec. 2019.

  -Financing has been closed on 20 May 2020.

  -Siemens was selected to supply 6 power generation equipment and 4 boil-off gas compressors on 14 Oct. 2020.

  -TotalEnergies declared force majeure on the project in Mar. 2021 after Islamist insurgents attacked Palma town.

■ Status:

  -TotalEnergies remains engaged in negotiations with the Saipem-led consortium to reach a mutually agreed upon

    revised price for the contract in early Jul. 2023.

  -These discussions are anticipated to be concluded in the second half of 2023.

  -Saipem was working with the partners to agree on additional costs to restart of the project as of 27 Jul. 2023.

  -The project is expected to resume in early 2024.

  -The project has been delayed and is now expected to start production in 2028.

 

토탈에너지스(TotalEnergies)는 2021년 3월 이슬람 반군이 팔마(Palma) 마을을 공격한 후, 불가항력을 선언하여 무기한 중단한 바 있는 모잠비크 아레아 1(Mozambique Area 1) LNG 플랜트 프로젝트의 재개를 진행하고 있는 것으로 지난 7월 초 알려졌다. 토탈에너지스는 프로젝트 재개를 위한 수정된 가격과 관련하여 사이펨(Saipem)이 주도하는 컨소시엄과 협상을 벌이고 있는 가운데, 이 협상은 2023년 하반기에 마무리될 것으로 예상되며, 프로젝트의 자금 조달을 위한 구체적인 일정도 수립될 예정이다. 사이펨도 프로젝트 재개를 위한 추가 비용을 산정하기 위해 파트너 및 하청업체와 협의하고 있다고 지난 7월 27일 밝혔다. 이 프로젝트는 기당 연산 644만 톤의 LNG 트레인 2기, 18만 입방 미터의 LNG저장 탱크 2기, 제티, 동력 및 간접시설 등이  포함된 연산 1천2백88만 톤의 LNG플랜트를 팔마(Palma) 지역 아푼지(Afungi) 산업단지에 건설하는 사업이다. 당초 사이펨 컨소시엄의 계약금액은 80억 달러였으나, 4년 동안 중단된 사업이 새롭게 재개되면서 15%-30% 정도 추가될 것으로 전망되고 있다.

 

 

5. [Angola] Ndungu Project-Subsea Equipment and Umbilicals Package (EPC Awarded)

     앙골라, 아줄레에너지의 은둥구 프로젝트 중 해저기기 및 엄빌리컬 페키지 (EPC수주)

 

■ Project Name: Ndungu Project-Subsea Equipment and Umbilicals Package

■ Owner: Azule Energy

■ Owner JV: BP 50%, Eni 50%

■ Location: Block 15/06, Offshore Angola

■ Capacity: Subsea Equipment and Umbilicals

■ Amount: U$ 300 Mill.

■ Status:

  -TechnipFMC won a significant contract to supply subsea equipment on 2 Aug. 2023.

  -The Ndungu project will tie into Block 15/06 West Hub, where TechnipFMC was awarded a flexible pipe contract.

  -TechnipFMC described the award as significant which it values between $75M and $250M.

  -Aker Solutions was awarded a contract to provide subsea umbilicals for the Ndungu project on 3 Aug. 2023.

  -Aker Solutions defines a sizeable contract as between $50M and $150M.

  -The contract includes delivery of eight infield umbilicals including spares totaling over 25Km in length.

  -Delivery is planned for the fourth quarter of 2024.

 

영국 BP와 이탈리아 에니(Eni)의 합작법인인 아줄레에너지(Azule Energy)가 발주하는 은둥구(Ndungu) 프로젝트의 해저기기와 엄빌리컬 페키지를 테크닙FMC 와 에이커솔루션(Aker Solutions)이 지난 8월 3일과 4일에 각각 수주했다. 영국의 테크닙FMC는 이 은둥구 프로젝트와 15/06 웨스트 허브 블록과 연결하기 위한 해저기기를 공급할 예정이며, 계약 금액은 7천5백만 달러와 2.5억 달러 사이로 알려지고 있다. 노르웨이의 에이커솔루션은 총 길이 25킬로미터에 달하는 엄빌리컬을 공급하며, 계약 금액은 5천만 달러와 1.5억 달러 사이다. 엄빌리컬은 2024년 4분기에 공급될 예정이다.

  

 

6. [India] Panipat Naphtha Cracker Expansion Phase II Project (EPCM Awarded)

     인도, IOCL의 파니팟 납사 크래커 2단계 확장 프로젝트 (EPCM수주)

■ Status:

  -The project will increase the ethylene production capacity of the naphtha cracker unit (NCU) by about 20%.

  -Lummus Technology was selected as a licensor for Naphtha cracker technology on 15 Apr. 2021.

  -McDermott was awarded a contract for PMC and EPCM on 31 Jul. 2023.

  -McDermott’s Center of Excellence in Gurugram will provide comprehensive EPCM and PMC services.

 

인도 국영 석유업체인 IOCL이 발주하는 파니팟(Panipat) 납사 크래커 2단계 확장 프로젝트의 PMC와 EPCM업무를 미국의 맥더모트(McDermott)가 지난 7월 31일 수주했다. 맥도모트의 구루그램(Gurugram) 오피스에서 종합적인 EPCM 및 PMC 서비스를 제공한다. 이 프로젝트는 파니팟 석유화학 콤플렉스 내의 납사 크래커 생산 용량을 연산 800,000 톤에서 947,000톤으로 확장하는 3억 달러 규모의 사업이다.

 

 

7. [Philippines] Mahanagdong Binary Geothermal Power Generation Project (EPC Awarded)

     필리핀, EDC의 마하낙동 바이너리 지열 발전소 프로젝트 (EPC수주)

 

■ Project Name: Mahanagdong Binary Geothermal Power Generation Project

■ Owner: Energy Development Corporation (EDC)

■ Location: Mahanagdong District, Ormoc City, Leyte, Philippines

■ Status:

  -EDC announced plans to develop the project in Dec. 2022.

  -The company will get finance through the Japan's Joint Crediting Mechanism Financing Support Programme.

  -JGC Philippines was awarded an EPC contract for Balance of Plant package on 3 Aug. 2023.

  -This plant will apply Organic Rankine Cycle binary technology to generate an additional 28 MW of electricity.

  -The project is expected to be completed in mid-2025.

 

필리핀 로페즈 그룹(Lopez Group)의 자회사인 에너지개발기업(EDC, Energy Development Corporation)이 발주하는 마하낙동(Mahanagdong) 바이너리 지열 발전소 프로젝트의 BOP에 대한 EPC를 JGC필리핀이 지난 8월 3일 수주했다. 이 프로젝트는 28MW급 바이너리 지열 발전소를 레이테(Leyte) 주의 마하낙동 지역에 건설하는 1.4억 달러 규모의 사업이다.  2025년 완공을 목표로 하고 있다.

  

 

8. [Australia] Narngulu Green Ammonia Plant Project (Planning)

     호주, 삼성물산 및 PGS의 난굴루 그린 암모니아 플랜트 프로젝트 (계획)

 

 

■ Project Name: Narngulu Green Ammonia Plant Project

■ Owner: Samsung C&T, KOMIPO, and PGS

■ Owner JV: Samsung C&T, KOMIPO (Korean Midland Power Co), Progressive Green Solutions and DevelopmentWA

■ Location: Narngulu Industrial Estate, Geraldton, Australia

■ Capacity: 200,000T/Y of Green Hydrogen and 1,000,000T/Y of Green Ammonia

■ Amount: U$ 1,000 Mill.

■ Status:

  -The WA government announced the beginning of negotiations to develop the ammonia project on 2 Aug. 2023.

  -PGS in partnership with Samsung C&T and KOMIPO are proposing to build a plant on 2 Aug. 2023.

  -It is expected to help support the decarbonization of power generation plants in South Korea.

  -The consortium will start the initial environmental and feasibility studies, and public consultation as a next step

  -FID is expected to be made by the end of 2024.

  -The consortium aims to produce 200,000T/Y of green hydrogen by 2027.

  -The green ammonia will be exporting to South Korea by 2029.

 

서호주 정부는 한국의 삼성물산 및 한국중부발전과 난굴루 산업단지(Narngulu Industrial Estate)의 부지 2곳에 그린 암모니아 플랜트를 건설하기 위한 협상을 시작한 것으로 지난 8월 2일 알려졌다. 앞으로 삼성물산과 중부발전은 호주의 대표적 천연가스생산기업 PGS(Progressive Green Solutions) 및 현지 부동산 개발업체인 디벨롭먼트WA(DevelopmentWA)와 협력하여 그린 암모니아 플랜트를 지을 계획이다. 컨소시엄은 다음 단계로 초기 환경 및 타당성 조사, 공공 협의를 시작할 예정이며, 2024년 말 최종투자결정을 목표로 하고 있다. 1단계로 연간 20만 톤의 그린수소를 2027년에 생산하고, 한국으로의 그린 암모니아 수출은 2029년에 이루어질 예정이다. 이 프로젝트는 연산 1백만 톤의 그린 암모니아 플랜트를 서호주 난굴루 산업단지 내 두 개 부지에 건설하는 10억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 생산되는 그린 암모니아는 한국 내 발전소의 탈탄소화를 지원하는 데 사용되어진다.

     미국, 노스스타 클린에너지의 TES 필러시티 발전소 CCS프로젝트 (FEED/EPC 수주)

  -Wood was contracted to supply two non-reheat travelling grate spreader stoker boilers on 1 July 2023

  -Babcock & Wilcox was awarded a FEED contract for Bioenergy with CCS (BECCS) Conversion on 26 July 2023.

  -The project will utilize Babcock & Wilcox's SolveBright scrubbing process to clean flue gas.

  -Babcock & Wilcox will manage construction and mechanical scope of the study and commercial phase.

  -When complete, the 75MW power plant would use sustainable biomass as fuel, with net-negative CO2

  -The project is expected to be completed in 2025.

 

 

노스스타 클린에너지(NorthStar Clean Energy)가 발주하는 TES 필러시티(Filer City) 발전소 CCS프로젝트의 FEED를 밥콕앤윌코스(Babcock & Wilcox)가 지난 7월 26일 수주했다. 이 프로젝트는 기존의 노후화된 석탄발전소를 CCS시설을 갖춘 바이오매스 발전소로 전환하는 1.3억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 스위스의 ABB가 73MW급 단일 흐름 응축 터빈과 발전기를 공급하기로 지난 7월 1일에 계약했으며, 영국의 우드(Wood)가 보일러 2대 공급 계약을 따냈다. 밥콕앤윌콕스에서 솔브브라이트 스크러빙 프로세스(SolveBright Scrubbing Process)를 제공하며, 향후 EPC업무도 수행할 예정이다. 2025년 완공을 목표로 하고 있다.

  

10. [USA] Kemmerer Natrium Reactor Demonstration Project (Planning)

       미국, 테라파워의 켐머러 나트륨 핵 발전소 프로젝트 (계획)

  -TerraPower announced plans to build a project at one of the Wyoming's retiring coal plants in Jun. 2020.

  -345MW sodium-cooled fast reactor will be combined with molten salt energy storage system to boost to 500 MW.

  -The project was selected by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) to be financed in Oct. 2020.

  -Kemmerer in Wyoming has been selected as the site for the project in Nov. 2021.

  -TerraPower contracted four suppliers to support the development of the project on 2 Aug. 2023.

  -Western Service Corp. was selected to provide a software platform and engineering services

  -James Fisher Nuclear was awarded for design and construction of an injection casting furnace system.

  -BWX Technologies was awarded to design the intermediate heat exchanger.

  -Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Service was awarded for development of the reactor protection system (RPS).

  -The project is expected to be completed in 2030.

 

빌 게이츠가 마이크로소프트를 은퇴한 후 설립한 테라파워(Terra Power)가 나트륨 핵 발전소 프로젝트 개발을 지원하기 위해 지난 8월 2일에 4개의 공급업체와 계약을 체결했다. 첫 번째로는 웨스턴 서비스(Western Service Corp.)가 소프트웨어 플랫폼 및 엔지니어링 서비스 제공 업체로 선정되었다. 이어, 제임스 피셔 원자력(James Fisher Nuclear)이 사출 주조 퍼니스 시스템(Injection Casting Furnace System)의 설계 및 시공 업무를 수주했다. 그리고 BWXT(BWX Technologies)가 열교환기 설계를 따냈으며, 커티스-라이트 플로우 컨트롤 서비스(Curtiss-Wright Flow Control Service)가 원자로 보호 시스템(RPS) 개발업체로 선정됐다. 이 프로젝트는 345MW 나트륨 냉각 고속 원자로를 용융염 에너지 저장 시스템과 결합하여 출력을 500MW로 높일 수 있는 차세대 나트륨 핵 발전소를 노후 석탄 발전소 부지인 켐머러에 건설하는 16억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 이 프로젝트는 2020년 10월에 미국 에너지부(DOE)의 자금 지원 대상으로 선정되었으며, 당초 예정보다 2년 늦은 2030년 가동을 목표로 하고 있다.

  -The cathode materials will be supplied to BlueOval SK (a JV between SK & Ford), a battery production plant.

  -SNC-Lavalin was selected as a prime contractor on 2 Aug. 2023.

  -The foundation works at site started in Mar. 2023, and the construction is expected to be completed in two years.

 

한국의 SK온과 에코프로비엠(EcoPro BM), 그리고 미국의 포드(Ford)가 공동으로 추진하는 베캉쿠아(Bécancour) 양극재 공장 프로젝트의 건설업체로 캐나다의 SNC-라발린이 지난 8월 2일 선정됐다. SNC-라발린은 건설부터 시운전과 유지보수까지 전 과정을 총괄하며, 조만간 본 계약이 체결될 예정이다. 이 프로젝트는 SK온과 포드의 합작사인 '블루오벌SK' 배터리 생산시설에 공급하기 위한 양극재 플랜트를 퀘벡 주의 베캉쿠아에 건설하는 7억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 현장 기초 공사는 지난 3월에 시작되었으며, 본 공사의 건설기간은 2년이다.

  -European Energy agreed with Maersk to develop the project on 19 Aug. 2021.

  -The project is to become the world’s first commercial e-methanol plant.

  -The project will ultimately provide supplies for Maersk’s methanol-fueled fleet.

  -The low-cost renewable electricity will be provided from European Energy’s Kasso 300MW solar farm.

  -In the power-to-methanol process, hydrogen from electrolyser will be mixed with CO2 sourced from bio-waste.

  -European Energy plans to install the electrolyser in Kasso and hook the system to 300MW

  -Siemens Energy secured the order to supply 50MW electrolysis plant on 2 Mar. 2022.

  -Siemens will supply the electrolysis system consisting of three PEM electrolysis products.

  -Those include transformers, rectifiers, DCS and the equipment to produce demineralized water.

  -The owner of the project, European Energy, will be responsible for EPC and O&M.

  -Mitsui agreed to acquire a 49% equity interest in Kasso MidCo, an affiliate of European Energy on 6 Jul. 2023.

  -Clariant was selected to provide Clariant´s methanol synthesis catalyst Megamax on 25 Jul. 2023

  -European Energy breaks ground on grand e-methanol facility on 16 May 2023.

  -Commercial production is expected to start in 2024.

 

덴마크 재생 에너지기업인 유러피안 에너지(European Energy)가 추진하는 카쇠(Kassø) e-메탄올 플랜트 프로젝트의 메탄올 합성 촉매 메가맥스 공급 업체로 글로벌 특수화학기업 클라리언트(Clariant)가 지난 7월 25일 선정됐다. 독일의 지멘스(Siemens)가 50MW급 수전해시설과 함께 변압기, 정류기, DCS, 탈염수 장비 등을 공급한다.  이 프로젝트는 연산 32,000톤의 e-메탄올 플랜트를 덴마크 남부의 카쇠 지역에 건설하는 3억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 건설공사는 2023년 5월 16일에 시작되었으며, 2024년 가동을 목표로 하고 있다.

  -It is expected to start production at the end of 2025.

 

스페인의 석유 가스 기업인 렙솔(Repso)은 푸에르톨라노(Puertollano) 정유공장 내 디젤 플랜트를 개보수하여 바이오퓨얼 플랜트를 건설할 계획이라고 지난 7월 27일 밝혔다. 이 프로젝트는 폐 식용유와 같은 유기 폐기물을 사용하여 연산 24만 톤의 2세대급 바이오퓨얼 플랜트를 카스티야 라 만차(Castilla-La Mancha) 주의 푸에르톨라노 정유공장에 건설하는 1.2억 유로의 사업이다. 2025년 말 가동을 목표로 하고 있다.

  -Nel Hydrogen was awarded a contract worth $12.3M to supply 40MW Alkaline Electrolyser on 17 Jul. 2023.

  -Wood was awarded a FEED contract on 17 July 2023.

  -The project is expected to start production in 2026.

 

포르투갈의 최대 화학회사인 본달티(Bondalti)가 발주하는 에스타레자(Estarreja) 그린 수소 프로젝트의 FEED를 영국의 우드(Wood)가 지난 7월 17일에 수주했다. 아울러, 노르웨이의 넬하이드로젠(Nel Hydrogen)이 40MW급 알카라인 수전해조(Alkaline Electrolyser) 공급 계약을 따냈다. 이 프로젝트는 40MW의 그린수소 플랜트를 에스타레자 화학 단지에 건설하는 1.56억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 이 프로젝트는 유럽집행위원회(EC)로부터 '유럽 공동 관심 중요 프로젝트(IPCEI)' 지위를 획득했으며, 2026년 운전을 목표로 하고 있다.

 

 

15. [Germany] Weisweiler Hydrogen-Ready Combined Cycle Power Plant Project (Planning)

       독일, RWE의 와이즈와일러 수소 혼합 복합화력발전소 발전소 (계획)

■ Status:

  -A consortium of TR and Ansaldo Energia was chosen through a tender process for the plant on 31 Jul. 2023.

  -The plant will use Ansaldo's GT36 turbine, which can generate power with up to 50% hydrogen mixed with gas.

  -TR’s contribution will include the engineering of the permitting phase, which is set to start immediately.

  -Ansaldo will supply the gas and steam turbines and their corresponding generators, among other equipment.

  -The construction phase could start in 2025 and is expected to take 40 months.

 

독일의 에너지 기업인 RWE가 추진하는 와이즈와일러(Weisweiler) 수소 혼소 복합화력발전소의 개발 사업 입찰에서 스페인 테크니카스 리유니다스(TR)와 이탈리아 안살도(Ansaldo Energia)의 컨소시엄이 지난 7월 31일 선정됐다. 이 프로젝트는 최대 50%의 수소를 천연가스와 혼합해 800MW급 복합화력발전소를 RWE의 기존 석탄화력 발전소 단지에 건설하는 10억 달러 규모의 사업이다. 안살도는 GT36 가스터빈과 함께 증기 터빈 및 해당 발전기 등을 공급하며, EPC를 맡은 TR은 인허가 단계에서의 엔지니어링을 곧 바로 시작할 예정이다.  2025년 건설공사 시작을 목표로 하고 있으며, 완공 시까지 40개월이 소요될 것으로 예상되고 있다. 끝.
